Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) are common victims of crime or have their behavior misunderstood. This course seeks to reduce the possibility of misunderstanding or escalation when interacting with people with IDD.

Course Objectives:

Inform law enforcement about IDD.

Provide resources and tools that increase knowledge and skills in interactions with the IDD community.

Help build relationships between the IDD and law enforcement communities.
